Gradient Landscapes

Gradient Landscapes have established themselves as one of Perth’s premier landscaping companies, with a reputation for professionalism, reliability and delivery. Since their inception in 2005, Director Leon Watchorn and his team have worked with a range of clients to create classic sustainable outdoor areas. Leon and his team have an inherent knack for adding value and beauty to homes.

At the heart of the company is Managing Director, Jen Watchorn, who is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of day to day operations at Gradient Landscapes. Jen spoke with us about their recent experiences.

“Our current IT service provider had let us down in a huge way. They contacted us to tell us that our emails from our website contact form hadn’t been coming through to us for at least 3 months. They then sent us a link to where we could download the old emails, told us that the email service would be cancelled and that we needed to find a new provider. All this had to be done within two weeks.

We didn’t understand what we needed except that we needed someone to help us fix the problems. We felt we had let our customers down and we could see from the old emails that we had lost a lot of business due to this issue.”

Jen took immediate action and reached out to the team at PlanNet32 for advice.

“PlanNet32 explained what the problem was in terms that we could understand. They made the process really easy and went about fixing the issue for us. They provided advice and gave us different options in a way that was easy to understand and that showed they understood our core business.”

PlanNet32 immediately set about re-establishing the email service for the website. PlanNet32 contacted the previous provider and transferred control of the web domain and email service back to Jen and the team at Gradient Landscapes.

A new email service was set up on their preferred provider (Google Gmail) and the service was restored.

“We didn’t feel silly asking questions about stuff we didn’t understand. PlanNet32 told us every step of the way what we needed to do. It felt like they knew exactly what they were doing, they knew the products and knew what we needed.

PlanNet32 were approachable, professional and easy to understand. They didn’t make the process overwhelming and made it easy for us to make informed decisions in the best interest of our company.

They were very thorough and followed up with things to make sure we had received what we needed. They also checked back in to see that things were running as they should.”

Building on the success of the initial engagement, Gradient Landscapes engaged PlanNet32’s Advisory Services to assist with a strategic change.

“We knew that we wanted to move away from the previous provider that had let us down so badly. We decided to take this opportunity to get our website rebuilt and get a fresh new look for our business. PlanNet32 put us in touch with their design partner and provided guidance and advice to us along the way, whilst also working with the design partner to ensure a smooth transition from the old company and website.”

Gradient Landscapes engaged Bare Consulting to begin a rebuild of their website to put a fresh new face on their online presence.

“We now get emails. That helps! Our system is better, more efficient, more professional and we know the end product will be a more reliable service for our customers.”
